Loader Operators are responsible for the completion of the day-to-day activities at their assigned plant location. This position is responsible for operating a front-end loader in the yard for the purposes of loading trucks and production facilities on site. This position is also responsible for various other yard maintenance activities.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Follow safe work procedures and act safely in the workplace.
  • Completing daily and weekly plant inspections.
  • Maintain cleanliness of plant and yard.
  • Load aggregate material into yard , trailers, bays and production equipment. 
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate plant inventory of aggregate material
  • Communicate quickly to Supervisor any issues that will impact production
  • Train back up operators as needed

Requirements

 

  • Successful completion of a heavy equipment operator program from an accredited institution (asset).
  • Experience operating a front end loader (experience with a John Deere 644K or similar  is an asset)
  • Completion of high school diploma or GED
  • Valid Class G driver’s license
  • Good communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written)
