As a Security Officer Front Office Security in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a cultural institution, you will welcome visitors, provide exceptional customer service, manage access, monitor entry activity, and communicate professionally with staff and guests. Your visible presence will help support a secure, welcoming environment while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and/or vendors at a front desk within a cultural institution while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Greet visitors professionally, verify access as directed, issue visitor credentials when applicable, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
  • Monitor entry areas, cameras, alarms, and/or access-control systems, reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
  • Maintain a professional front-desk presence, answer incoming calls, provide directions or general information, and support a welcoming environment for guests.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
