Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Front Desk Agent serves as our guests' first point of contact and manages all aspects of their accommodation. The role is responsible for registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates, and amenities with a high degree of customer service.
THIS IS A 3Pm -11PM Friday, Sat and Sunday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Answer telephones and direct telephone traffic as necessary.
  • Make, modify, and cancel guest reservations at the guest' request.
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel.
  • Assign rooms and issue key cards to guests following hotel protocols.
  • Provide information about hotel services to interested parties.
  • Provide assistance with recommendations and directions to restaurants/shows/ attractions, etc.
  • Receive payments and post payments to the correct rooms.
  • Advise housekeeping staff of room status during check out hours.
  • Handle guest complaints and escalate complaints that cannot be addressed to the General Manager.
  • Stock and inventory the Eat and Sip Market
  • Complete online training as assigned by the deadline date.
  • Count cash drawer upon arrival to work and at end of shift. Notify management of any shortages/overages immediately.
  • Close out accounts at end of each shift and complete all required end of shift reports.
  • Report to work in the correct uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Exhibit an outgoing and friendly demeanor and professional attitude.
  • Keeps the front desk/lobby area clean and presentable; clean and disinfect all areas of the front desk and lobby.
  • Follow department policies and procedures.
  • Assist other team members at the direction of the general manager.
  • Answer customer questions regarding hotel facilities or hours of operation.
  • Recommend local restaurants/theaters/attractions when inquire.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
