Job description

Join the University of Iowa's dynamic Parking and Transportation team as an Admin Services Coordinator for Commuter Programs! In this pivotal role, you'll engage in a wide range of administrative duties and act as the go-to resource for the Commuter Programs division within Parking Services. You'll deliver exceptional customer service, dive into data analysis, and collaborate to design and launch innovative commuter initiatives that make a real difference on campus. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.

Duties Include:

  • Enrollment in programs with administration and management of memberships through ongoing customer relations.

  • Coordinate and monitor the Van Pool, Bicycling, Bus Pass, 380 Express, Emergency Ride Home, and UI Rideshare Programs.

  • Provide information / materials to participants and respond to inquiries.

  • Schedule vehicles for maintenance and delivery; communicate with the drivers.

  • Enforces policies and administers corrective actions when appropriate.

Location: West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

Salary: $48,000 to commensurate

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience (typically 6 months) in administrative or customer service support role.

  • Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience multitasking in fast paced environment.

Special Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating or administering participant-based programs.

  • Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Experience (typically 6 months) working in a higher education environment.

  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
