A well-established organization with an internal litigation team is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Litigation Support Specialist to provide administrative and procedural support to defense counsel. This is a permanent opportunity with a hybrid work schedule based in Glendale, California.
This role is ideal for a seasoned workers' comp legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands California WCAB procedures inside and out.
What This Opportunity Offers:
  • Annual Salary: $65,000-$75,000
  • Hybrid work schedule: Opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, standardbusiness hours (PST)

Role Summary:
In this position, you will provide day-to-day litigation support to an internal workers' compensation defense team. You'll be responsible for managing filings, tracking deadlines, preparing legal documentation, and coordinating communication between legal, medical, and claims stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Electronic Filings: Prepare andsubmit pleadings, motions, and related documents through California's EAMSplatform
  • Deadline & CalendarOversight: Maintain detailed litigation calendars, including hearings,depositions, conferences, and trials
  • Legal Document Production: Draft,revise, and format WC defense materials such as answers, declarations,objections, DORs, and trial-related exhibits
  • Medical-Legal Scheduling:Coordinate QME/AME appointments and ensure timely service and filing ofmedical records
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serveas a liaison with internal partners, opposing counsel, claimsprofessionals, and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Mail & Records Handling:Manage incoming and outgoing physical and electronic correspondence
  • General Support: Assist withadditional administrative or litigation-related tasks as business needsevolve

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-onworkers' compensation defense experience (California required)
  • Strong working knowledge of WCABprocesses and statutory timelines
  • Advanced proficiency with EAMS,Microsoft Office, and legal case management systems
  • Ability to independently manage ahigh-volume desk with accuracy and efficiency
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven,and comfortable operating with limited oversight
