Job description

Clinical Nicu Pharmacist

Position Details:

  • Full-Time Position
  • Monday - Friday (9:00am - 5:30pm)
  • Salary Range: $73.00-$88.19/hour

Job Summary:

  • NICU/Clinical Pharmacist role in a healthcare facility environment
  • Requires comprehensive clinical review of all NICU medication orders to ensure safety and efficacy
  • Responsible for core clinical pharmacist responsibilities such as antimicrobial stewardship, renal dose adjustments, and anticoagulation monitoring
  • Conducts drug utilization review studies
  • Consults with medical practitioners on medication orders, patient reactions, and errors
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by the Director of Pharmacy

Qualifications:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required, a Doctor of Pharmacy is preferred
  • Must have current pharmacist licensure with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  • Hospital experience preferred but not required
  • Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patient, guest, physicians, and other employees
