Location: Nationwide (100% Travel)

We are a fast-growing national energy solutions company specializing in LED lighting retrofits for commercial and industrial customers. Our mission is to help businesses reduce energy costs and improve lighting efficiency through expert installation and innovative retrofit solutions.

As we expand across the U.S., we’re looking for motivated technicians to join our traveling installation team.

Position Overview

The Lighting Retrofit Technician will perform upgrades and replacements of existing lighting systems with high-efficiency LED fixtures in commercial and industrial environments.

This is a 100% travel, commission-based role—you are paid only for completed installations or projects. Candidates should be comfortable working independently or in teams, managing their time efficiently, and maintaining a professional demeanor at client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remove existing lighting fixtures, lamps, and ballasts

  • Install and retrofit new LED lighting systems in commercial and industrial settings

  • Safely operate lifts, ladders, and installation tools

  • Read and interpret lighting layouts, wiring diagrams, and project documentation

  • Ensure installations meet company quality standards and customer expectations

  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used

  • Follow all safety policies and OSHA standards

  • Travel full-time to project sites nationwide (travel expenses covered by the company)

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in lighting and electrical is preferred

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems (120V–277V; 480V a plus)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for nationwide travel

  • Self-motivated, with strong time management and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits

  • 100% commission / piece-rate pay — you are compensated only for completed projects or installations

  • Paid weekly based on work completed; earnings directly tied to output

  • Travel expenses (lodging, per diem, mileage/transportation) covered by the company

Note: This position does not include a base salary. Compensation is strictly commission-based. The more projects you complete, the more you earn.
