Job description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in teletherapy within the school setting. The assignment is based in Laurel, MD, with a work schedule aligned to the Eastern Standard Time zone. This full-time position offers approximately 35 hours per week with no part-time options. The contract duration spans from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027.

Key responsibilities include delivering speech-language services remotely, assessing, planning, and implementing effective teletherapy interventions for students primarily at the elementary and middle school levels. Caseloads vary by age group, ranging from a maximum of 40 elementary students to up to 57 at peak times. Assignments will be tailored after discussions based on expertise and location.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current and active Maryland SLP licensure
  • Minimum of three years of virtual school-based speech therapy experience post-COVID, with at least two years within the past five years
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and best practices
  • Ability to manage caseloads of diverse students effectively
  • Compliance with all credentialing protocols, including background checks and submission of references and licensure documentation

  • Candidates must be available for a technology screening and internal prescreen interviews to assess suitability
  • Flexible to work specific days as discussed during the interview process
