SUPPORT B – 2nd SHIFT

Position Summary

Our Support B team members provide hands-on assistance to the Navy cell and bench area, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality output. This role involves mechanical support, precision finishing, and documentation to maintain production standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lubricate and perform minor maintenance functions
  • Participate in bench assembly operations as workload requires perform various grinding, deburring, tapping, tap burning reaming, etc., to obtain proper fit, alignment and/or operation of times. Operate various hand tools, drill presses, tap burner, etc.
  • Remover burrs on all machined parts
  • Detect and report defective materials and faulty operations to proper supervisor.
  • Tolerances are close but not difficult to attain.
  • Maintain tooling.
  • Record all required data in Process Control Sheets including finished dimensions checked, measuring instruments used, serial numbers, etc.
  • Record labour times and other related data on standard forms

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one years’ experience in a manufacturing environment working with hand tools required.
