Position Details
  • Title: Finishing / Deburring Operator (Senior Level III or Entry Level IV)
  • Company: Magnus Precision Manufacturing
  • Location: 1912 Route 96, Phelps, NY 14532
  • Schedule: Full-time, A Shift, Monday-Thursday, 6a-4:30p
  • Pay: $17 - $26 per hour
  • Summary/Duties: Our finishers take pride turning a shelf of unfinished parts into polished pieces of art. 
    • Proficiently use microscopes, hand/power tools, grinders, and tumblers to achieve a high quality finish.
    • Will prepare surfaces, clean, polish, remove imperfections/burrs, perform visual inspections and final assembly.
    • Operate equipment to complete finishing tasks including assembly and deburring assigned parts. 
    • Senior finishers deburr more complex parts (e.g. manifolds), design/set-up new jobs and train others.
    • All employees are responsible for quality, quantity and safety and adhere to quality procedures and company policies.
    • Keep accurate records, keep their work area clean and will perform other duties as directed.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to visually inspect, use equipment and hand tools, and work under a microscope.
    • Must have good dexterity, hand/eye coordination, ability to sit/stand for long periods and to communicate.  
  • Experience: Manufacturing experience and understanding of quality procedures is required.
    • Preferred experience with finishing/deburring complex metal parts, reading drawings & blueprints, and ability to train others.
  • All candidates: Should be motivated, reliable & a team player and must be authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Must be able to complete pre-employment (drug screen-no THC, fit-for-duty exam, background check, employment verification & references).
