Job description

If you've built a career installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or servicing industrial equipment-and you've made peace with hotel rooms and airport lounges feel like a second office-you may have found your next role. We're not asking you to learn to travel. We're asking you to bring that skill to bigger, more complex machines.

In this role, you'll work on one-of-a-kind industrial systems with opportunities to see facilities around the world and become the face of Globe Machine to customers.

The Travel
  • Approximately 70–80% travel
  • Typical trips range from 1–3 weeks

Globe Machine Manufacturing is located in Tacoma, WA yet remote roles are available. This role travels extensively and for extended periods of time both domestically and internationally.

What You'll Do

In the office (between trips): assist on shop floor assembling the equipment you'll be onsite installing and servicing. Help prepare service quotes, support customers by phone on installed equipment, and build detailed plans for upcoming installs.

On-site: supervise equipment installations and the crews involved (in-house, customer, and outside contractors), train customer staff on operating and maintaining Globe equipment, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and keep customers and your manager updated with clear daily reports.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of related experience in field service, installation, maintenance, or repair
  • Comfort reading blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics
  • Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC experience (a strong plus, not a dealbreaker)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD strongly preferred
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office required
  • Background in material handling equipment, wood products, or paper industries (nice to have)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use hand/power/precision tools, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • A valid passport or willingness to obtain one, and ability to get a TWIC card.
