The ideal candidate will bring a genuine passion for psychotherapy and mental health support, resonating with our commitment to holistic care.

About the Organization

You will be part of a supportive team focused on empathetic care. Equipped with modern telehealth tools and secure platforms, you'll conduct therapy sessions and consultations seamlessly from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with clients' goals, regularly monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and emotional stabilization.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, available resources, and coping strategies to promote better understanding and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records using electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionalsโ€”such as psychiatrists, social workers, and wellness coordinatorsโ€”to provide integrated, holistic care for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The target clientele includes individuals and families facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. As an LPC at our center, you will work with a diverse patient population, acknowledging and respecting each individual's unique background and experiences. Your role is pivotal in guiding clients through their journeys toward mental wellness, resilience, and improved life quality.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut, with a genuine commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective connection and rapport-building with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities that facilitate the development of effective treatment plans.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards at all times.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in mental health counseling, particularly in outpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth technologies and best practices in virtual counseling.
  • Experience facilitating group therapy sessions and workshops.
  • Knowledge of various counseling methodologies and a willingness to engage in ongoing training and skill enhancement.
