Job description

PE Services is seeking students that would like to join us for our summer 2027 internship. Whether you're a Construction Management or Civil Engineering student or a student with a related focus area, we would love to hear from you! 

Within our diverse and expanding firm, Interns not only contribute to our vibrant culture but also expand their career skillset and knowledge in the heavy civil transportation industry. We consider freshman all the way to seniors. We invite you to explore the possibilities of an internship at PE Services.

Responsibilities: 

  • Follow the internship project rotation which allows you to see a range of different projects we work on.
  • Perform daily observation/diary of construction progress under the supervision of the team lead or your mentor.
  • Perform various soil and concrete sampling, testing, and inspection. 
  • Assist Technicians, Engineers, and Managers on assigned tasks.
  • Participate in Intern engagement activities including picnics, executive leadership Q&As, and other employee engagement activities.
  • Present a Lessons Learned presentation at the end of the internship program.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related program. 
  • Curiosity for engineering and construction procedures, principles, practices, and techniques. 
  • A desire to work on active transportation project sites for the entirety of the internship.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving history required.

The hourly rate for the internship is $26.00. Our Interns will also receive a monthly car allowance, work boot expense coverage, and will accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) during the summer.
