Job Title: Fresh Cut Clerk
Reports to: Produce Department Manager/Fresh Cut Manager

In this role, you'll play an important part in ensuring our guests have access to delicious, freshly cut fruit and veggie platters-perfect for daily life, a get-together or special occasion! Your ability to keep our fresh cut department stocked and ready, will keep our guests boomeranging back, knowing they can rely on us for their entertaining needs.

What You'll Do:
As a Fresh Cut Clerk at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain Freshness: Maintain appropriate stock levels in the fresh cut department by observing sales floor and coolor conditions, producing, stocking, and replenishing products as needed.
  • Provide Exceptional Service: Execute the boomerang theory by delivering outstanding service to all guests. Assist guests with finding what they're looking for, and take the initiative to resolve guest concerns and ensure satisfaction, making things right when service or product issues arise.
  • Ensure Cleanliness: Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the department by organizing and sanitizing work areas, shelving, and sales floors as needed.
  • Monitor Quality & Food Safety: Ensure all quality standards are met, including maintaining accurate food safety logs and meeting quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
  • Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates. Utilize strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Ability to use equipment such as power jacks, walk-behind lifts, WAVs, balers, and compactors.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.

  • Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
  • The position requires the associate to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
