Job description

Get Fresh Produce was established in 1982 in Chicago as a retail store that specialized in premium fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, and specialty foods. It has a team of amazing professionals who are experts in sales, customer service, procurement, and operations. Every year, Get Fresh Produce distributes over 13 million cases to 3,000 customers.

As a member of the Customer Service team, you will be the first point of contact for our customers when they call, email or send an order to us. Our Customer Service team is responsible for delivering the best customer experience that our customers have come to expect from us. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, self-motivated, and has excellent interpersonal skills to join our team.

Essential Functions:

  • Answering and directing calls in a professional manner
  • Process orders received via phone, fax, and email
  • Provide customers with product and service information
  • Assist customers in tracking deliveries
  • Handle and resolve customer issues
  • Issue product returns in the system
  • Work within our customers websites to process credits
  • Call customers and provide weekly specials
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build long-term relationships with employees and customers.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Attentive to details
  • Well organized
  • Bilingual a plus – Spanish and English

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Sunday with Saturdays and 1 day off during the week
  • Hours are 9:30am-6:00pm
  • 40 hours per week, some OT maybe required

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate $18.00-$19.00 based on experience
