Job description

Chef Thomas Keller’s Yountville restaurant, Ad Hoc, is seeking enthusiastic and capable individuals who are passionate about food, beverage and hospitality to join the team as a Host. Pay range includes estimated tips.; hourly base rate is $16.90 per hour.

Opened in 2006 and originally intended as a temporary concept, Ad Hoc presents the American comfort food of Chef Keller's childhood in a casual dining setting. The restaurant's daily-changing four-course menu is served family-style, capturing the conviviality of home.

Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a similar role. 
Responsibilities:

  • Greet and Seat Guests: Warmly greet guests as they arrive, manage reservations, and efficiently seat guests in the dining area.
  • Manage Reservations: Utilize reservation systems to manage bookings, coordinate seating arrangements, and accommodate special requests.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with Team: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations and seamless guest experiences.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the host area and entrance are always clean and presentable.
  • Promote a Positive Atmosphere: Foster a welcoming and enjoyable environment for both guests and staff.
