We are looking for a Freight Dispatcher who can keep freight moving, support drivers in real time, and help ensure transportation operations run efficiently from pickup through delivery.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced work environment, communicates well under pressure, and takes pride in finding solutions when challenges arise. No two days are exactly alike, and the ability to adapt quickly while staying organized is essential.


What You'll Do

Keep Freight Moving

  • Coordinate and schedule freight shipments across multiple locations and service areas
  • Match available loads with drivers and equipment
  • Monitor shipment progress and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
  • Work to maximize truck utilization and minimize downtime
  • Assist with load planning and route optimization


Support Drivers Throughout the Day

  • Serve as a primary contact for drivers while loads are in transit
  • Provide updates, routing information, and operational support
  • Help resolve issues involving delays, breakdowns, weather, traffic, or customer requests
  • Maintain regular communication to ensure drivers have the information they need to succeed
  • Build positive working relationships with drivers and operational partners


Work with Customers & Transportation Partners

  • Communicate with brokers, customers, warehouses, and transportation partners
  • Provide shipment updates and respond to service inquiries
  • Assist with load sourcing and freight opportunities
  • Support efforts to maximize revenue and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ensure commitments are communicated accurately and professionally


Manage Details & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate shipment records and dispatch notes
  • Track load status and delivery confirmations
  • Update transportation systems and internal reports
  • Ensure information is documented accurately and shared with appropriate team members
  • Assist with administrative tasks that support daily transportation operations


What We're Looking For

  • Experience in freight dispatching, transportation, trucking, logistics, or related operations
  • Strong communication and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
  • Ability to remain calm and professional while solving problems under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with DAT, Truckstop, transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, or similar dispatch platforms preferred
