Job description

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest.
Job Summary
The Full-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.
Hours and Wages
  • Tuesday-Saturday, 1:00AM start
  • 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week
  • Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
  • $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
  • Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
  • Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
  • Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
  • Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
  • Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet
  • Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
