Job description

A Houston freight forwarder needs a station manager to run its oil and gas gateway. You'd own the station end to end: air and ocean operations, the team, the service and the P&L.

The role

  • Run the Houston station across air and ocean, import and export, with an oil and gas focus.
  • Lead the operations, warehouse and customer service teams.
  • Own the station P&L and hit productivity, service and margin targets.
  • Manage airline, carrier, trucker and agent relationships across the Gulf.
  • Keep the station compliant on TSA, dangerous goods and customs, and handle project and oversized energy cargo.

You'll fit if

  • You have at least 8 years in freight forwarding, including running a station, branch or gateway.
  • You have a strong oil and gas or energy freight background.
  • You have led operations, warehouse and customer service teams.
  • You are strong on service, cost and compliance (TSA, DG, customs).

On offer

  • $110,000 to $150,000 base, plus bonus.
  • Full benefits, an above-market 401(k) match, and generous paid time off.

Why join

  • Run a Houston oil and gas gateway with full P&L ownership.
  • A specialised energy-freight book, including project and oversized cargo.
  • Above-market base, a station bonus and a car allowance.
  • Direct access to regional leadership and room to grow the station.

An Altius preferred client. First interviews this week.
