Direct Freight Forwarding Leadership Experience Required

This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of direct freight forwarding experience, including international air freight and/or ocean freight operations.

Candidates whose experience is limited to warehousing, distribution, trucking, brokerage, dispatch, transportation, manufacturing, or general logistics management without freight forwarding experience will not be considered.

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Station Manager to lead our Antioch, TN operation and drive growth, profitability, operational excellence, and customer success.

Position Summary

The Station Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the freight forwarding station, including operational leadership, customer development, financial performance, team leadership, and business growth. This role works closely with executive leadership and is accountable for station profitability, operational execution, client satisfaction, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all station operations related to international air freight and ocean freight services.
  • Manage station profitability, financial performance, and margin improvement.
  • Maintain ownership and accountability for P&L results.
  • Develop and grow customer relationships while supporting business development initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop operations and customer service personnel.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve operational KPIs and productivity metrics.
  • Drive process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, TSA, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support strategic growth objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of direct freight forwarding experience.
  • Experience managing international air freight and/or ocean freight operations.
  • Experience leading a freight forwarding branch, station, or office.
  • Proven P&L management experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Experience managing KPIs, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Ability to obtain TSA certification.
