Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (R)(MR) or (MR) certification for a day shift assignment.

Details
  • Work in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging department
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, no weekends required
  • Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
  • ARRT registered technologist required, either RT (R)(MR) or RT (MR)
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification required and must not expire prior to start
  • State license required if applicable
  • Must be able to administer IV contrast (gadolinium)
  • Physical requirements include hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, seeing, and standing
Additional Information
  • Responsible for patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
  • Performs MRI examinations per department protocol and critiques own images
  • Selects proper scanning techniques and protocols in coordination with the radiologist
  • Administers IV contrast material under physician or radiologist supervision
  • Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques
  • Operates and troubleshoots MRI equipment, including understanding shutdown/startup procedures
  • Understands magnet safety, cryogens, gradient amplifiers, and the Quench procedure
  • Adheres to MRI safety policy and the Four Zone concept
  • Completes all required documentation including time stamps and image storage
  • Meets departmental IV certification competency within three months of hire
  • Completes controlled substance and moderate sedation modules within six months of hire where applicable
  • Returning Intermountain employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
