Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Staff Videographer to join our Brand Creative team. In this role, you will be a hands-on contributor across every stage of production — shooting, editing, and helping bring video concepts to life for Studio McGee's various platforms, from home design webisodes to marketing videos, social content, and paid media. You will work closely with the Senior Manager of Video Production to execute on creative direction, and you'll take ownership of individual projects from shoot day through final cut. This is an ideal role for a videographer who is ready to take on more creative and technical ownership without yet stepping into people management.

Responsibilities:

  • Shoot and edit video content across platforms, including YouTube, website assets, social media, and paid media
  • Operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment on location and in-studio
  • Execute on creative direction and shot lists set by the Senior Manager of Video Production
  • Edit raw footage into polished final cuts, including color correction, sound design, and basic motion graphics
  • Collaborate with social and paid media teams to deliver content that meets platform specs and deadlines
  • Manage on-location shootlogistics, equipment upkeep, and file organization/archiving
  • Use AI-assisted editing tools to streamline turnaround
  • Provideday-to-day guidance to junior editors or freelance videographers on assigned projects
  • Track project timelines and flag production or scheduling risks to the Senior Manager
  • Stay current on video trends, tools, and techniques, and bring fresh ideas to the team


Skill and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in video production or videography
  • Strong reel/portfolio showcasing a range of video projects
  • Strong data organizational skills
  • Proficiencyin Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects experience a plus
  • Hands-on experience with camera, lighting, and audio equipment
  • Solid understanding of the production process, from pre-production through post
  • Familiarity with online video platforms (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo) and social video specs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage own project timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and taking direction from creative leadership
