$49,961.60 annually Exempt Shift: Swing Shift

Job Summary:

The Technical Writer/Business Analyst provides technical writing and analysis functions as a technical writer and non-conformance resolution analyst.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance and able to obtain.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Must be familiar with Air Force Instructional, Joint Technical Data, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) Document.
  • 3-5 years' experience.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good research skills.
  • Strong work ethics.
  • Strong computer skills. (at least 3 years' experience in Microsoft Office Suite)

Responsibilities

  • Performs non-conformance resolution coordination through the Maintenance, Repair, and overhaul (MRO) system and engineering systems including Lightning II Information Support Tool (LIST) for F35 and other systems.
  • Receives requests, gathers and analyzes information, obtain measurements, and draft detailed submissions for non-conformance resolution On Site.
  • Works with mechanics and other relevant personnel to gather information, including moving around aircraft. 
  • Analyzes, interprets, categorizes and electronically inputs information into Government database systems.
  • Applies DoD, Air Force and command specific logistics policies and regulations, and develops recommendations for changes and updates.
  • Develops a strong understanding of MRO's data structure, reports and capabilities.
  • Responds to MRO within 4 business hours, communicate and obtain information as needed.
  • Updates the engineering database(s) with the submissions, within the time frames.
  • Monitors LIST and engineering systems for notifications and hand-offs of engineering dispositions between production and other teams and notify the GR of non-standard production delays.
  • Completes final closeout for individual engineering assistance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Working Conditions

The working conditions will mostly be a well-lit, air-conditioned shop environment. 50% in office and 50% on shop floor working with mechanics and completing paperwork. 

Physical Requirements

This position must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. as well as have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Physical requirements of the position may also include, but are not limited to, bending, twisting, and lifting, along with climbing on aircraft.
