Our Beasley, TX location is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to perform / lead / manage the design engineering functions of a project including overall machine and equipment package design and creation of production drawings and support new product / project development and product enhancements for Reciprocating Compressors Packages (Piston and Diaphragm) in North America.
What Will You Do?
  • Design turbo expander per project specifications using SolidWorks in PLM/PDM managed system.
  • Perform Rotor-dynamics analysis
  • Perform structural analysis of various components, including Modal and harmonic analysis.
  • Specify appropriately sized hardware such as fasteners, o-rings, etc.
  • Prepare design review documentation
  • Prepare and verify detailed drawings for proper dimensions and tolerances.
  • Supervise subordinate engineers.
  • Perform duties of test engineer
  • Test set up-Instrumentation readouts

Your Experience Should Be...
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in air/gas handling, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of engineering calculations, drawings, and bills of material
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, MIL, SAE)
  • Proficient in engineering software (Creo, ANSYS, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of heavy industrial fabrication, welding standards, and mechanical systems (lubrication, cooling, gas lines)
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently

Desired skills, knowledge and behaviors:
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and 2D/3D CAD software
  • Experience with ERP systems and lean manufacturing practices
  • Exposure to computer programming and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Advanced degree or Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain one)
