Mainframe Developer (Wealth Management)

Location: Cincinnati, OH / Troy, MI / Dallas, TX – Onsite Job Type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong Wealth Management / Financial Services domain experience to join our team supporting strategic banking applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Mainframe technologies, core banking systems, and wealth management platforms, along with the ability to design, develop, and maintain high-performance financial applications. The role requires working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional technology teams to support mission-critical banking systems and deliver scalable solutions.

Required Skills
  • 9 years of experience in Mainframe Development.
  • Strong experience with: COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM
  • Experience working with mainframe batch and online processing systems.
  • Strong understanding of banking or wealth management systems.
  • Experience with application support, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in Wealth Management or Asset Management platforms.
  • Exposure to financial instruments, portfolio systems, or investment management applications.
  • Experience with mainframe modernization or integration with distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with Endevor, Changeman, or other mainframe version control tools.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications supporting Wealth Management systems.

  • Develop and optimize batch and online transaction processing programs.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of existing applications.
  • Support system integration, data processing, and interface development with other banking platforms.
  • Participate in SDLC processes, including design documentation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate financial requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with banking and regulatory standards.
