IMS/IDMS DBAIntroduction:

The IMS/IDMS DBA will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using IMS DB/TM and IDMS. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the databases and applications within the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing applications using IMS DB/TM and IDMS
  • Ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of the databases
  • Collaborating with developers, analysts, and other team members to understand requirements and implement solutions
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database issues
  • Performing database tuning and optimization
  • Participating in the full software development lifecycle
  • Following Agile methodologies for development and project management
