Freelance identity verification involves independent professionals who help businesses or platforms confirm the identities of individuals. This is typically done remotely using documents like passports, driver's licenses, or biometric data, ensuring that users are who they claim to be. Freelancers may work with clients in sectors such as finance, online marketplaces, or gig economy platforms to prevent fraud and comply with regulations. Their tasks can include reviewing submitted documents, conducting video calls, and using specialized software to verify authenticity.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a freelance identity verification specialist?

To excel as a Freelance Identity Verification Specialist, you need a strong understanding of KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations, document verification processes, and attention to detail, often supported by relevant experience in compliance or risk management. Familiarity with digital verification tools, secure data handling platforms, and sometimes certifications like Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) are beneficial. Strong analytical skills, integrity, and effective communication stand out as crucial soft skills for liaising with clients and identifying potential fraud. These competencies are essential for ensuring reliable identity validation, regulatory compliance, and client trust in sensitive online environments.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AWS Serverless & IaC AI Task Auditor - Freelance AI Trainer Project based in Netherlands.

This freelance project is an opportunity for an experienced AWS technical specialist to help improve the quality and reliability of AI training and evaluation systems. You will audit technical tasks focused on AWS Serverless technologies and Infrastructure as Code. The role combines hands-on technical evaluation with analytical problem-solving and detailed feedback. You'll work remotely and independently, contributing your specialist knowledge to the development of more capable and reliable AI systems.

Accountabilities
  • Evaluate AWS Serverless and Infrastructure as Code tasks for technical accuracy, realism, solvability, reproducibility, and the quality of their tests and evaluation criteria.
  • Review technical scenarios involving cloud provisioning, serverless architectures, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure configuration.
  • Identify and investigate deployment failures, resource configuration issues, architecture logic errors, and other technical inconsistencies.
  • Provide clear, precise, and actionable feedback to help improve the quality and reliability of AI training and evaluation tasks.
  • Apply your specialist expertise to rigorously test and validate complex technical scenarios.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable professional experience and strong technical expertise in AWS Serverless and Infrastructure as Code, including technologies such as AWS Lambda, cloud provisioning, Terraform, and/or CloudFormation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot and critically evaluate complex technical scenarios.
  • Experience assessing whether technical implementations are practical, reproducible, and aligned with real-world engineering practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly and constructively.
  • Candidates will be considered for a specialty aligned with their professional background; expertise across multiple technical domains is not required.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote freelance environment and provide reliable, high-quality deliverables.
Benefits:
  • Competitive freelance rate of $70-$100 per hour, with the exact rate determined based on experience, expertise, and geographic location.
  • Fully remote work, offering flexibility in where you perform the project.
  • Opportunity to contribute your technical expertise to the development and evaluation of AI systems.
  • Project-based freelance contract with the ability to work independently.
  • No company-sponsored health insurance, paid time off, or other employee benefits apply to this contractor position.
  • Contractors are responsible for providing a secure computer and reliable high-speed internet connection.
