Job Description

As a Security Officer Identity Verification in Covington, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor entry points, verify access, observe assigned areas, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will help manage security-related concerns with professionalism while reflecting our caring culture, integrity, teamwork, and innovative approach to meeting daily site needs.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
