Job description

CSP has partnered with a client on their search for an HR Generalist.

Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support key HR initiatives and drive a positive employee experience across the organization. This role will partner with leadership and employees to administer core HR programs, ensure compliance with employment regulations, support talent acquisition efforts, manage HR systems and payroll processes, and contribute to a culture of engagement and high performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic partnership with hands-on execution across multiple areas of Human Resources.


Responsibilities

Human Resources Operations • Support and administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, performance management, talent development, recognition programs, employee engagement, and workplace health and safety. • Stay current on HR best practices, employment laws, regulatory changes, and emerging HR technologies; recommend and implement policy and process improvements as needed. • Partner with managers and employees to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. • Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and business objectives.


Talent Acquisition & Onboarding • Partner with leadership to develop and execute recruitment strategies that attract, assess, and retain top talent. • Represent the organization at job fairs, networking events, and community outreach initiatives. • Coordinate candidate interviews, reference checks, background screenings, and hiring activities. • Facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation, required documentation, and training coordination.


HRIS & Payroll Administration • Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain accurate employee data within the HRIS. • Troubleshoot payroll and HRIS issues and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely resolution. • Support HRIS optimization efforts, including workflow improvements, system upgrades, and implementation of new functionality.


Benefits Administration • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, and leave plans. • Respond to employee benefit inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. • Coordinate annual open enrollment activities, benefits communications, and required documentation.


Employee Relations • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace concerns. • Support conflict resolution and escalate sensitive matters as appropriate. • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.


Performance Management • Support the administration and ongoing enhancement of performance review processes. • Provide guidance to managers regarding performance-related documentation, coaching, and process expectations.

Compliance & Policy Administration • Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Maintain employee handbooks, HR policies, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Participate in HR audits and internal reviews to ensure compliance with organizational standards and documentation requirements.


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience. • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, practices, and compliance requirements. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. • Experience with HRIS platforms, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office applications. • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or comparable HR certification preferred.
