Position Overview

The Strategist will work directly with the Strategy department to develop thoughtful strategic rationale that informs breakthrough creative work. They will help define social content strategies; analyze social performance; conduct competitive brand audits; research audience behaviors; ; and regularly report on content performance as well as trends to optimize future posts.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an energetic, creative thinker who's passionate about telling a great story across all content platforms with experience across a wide variety of entertainment brands.

We are looking for a true Internet native who "lives" on social media and is always up-to-date on the latest trends, but also knows their way around a spreadsheet

Location and Salary

This is a freelance role with a salary range of $50-$70 per hour, depending on experience. This role must be based in CA, FL, NJ, NY, OR, or TX.

Responsibilities
  • Use analytics tools to assess brand and competitor performance
  • Identify and develop audience insights to inform overall strategic direction, as well as optimize content performance
  • Help define social content strategies across current and emerging platforms
  • Collaborate with a team of account managers/coordinators and creative staff, from concept development to delivery of final product
  • Pitch concepts, copy, and final deliverables to internal team members and external partners
  • Interpret creative briefs to develop concepts for pitch decks and ongoing retainers
  • Present strategy decks in-person and/or via video chat to clients
  • Maintain a working knowledge of key industry trends, social platform updates, and entertainment projects to inform creative strategy
Qualifications
  • 3-4 years experience in social media strategy
  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
  • Demonstrated experience developing a brand voice/strategy and building social audiences
  • Deep knowledge of social media best practices and current trends
  • Familiarity with analytics and social reporting tools like GWI, Sprout, Sprinklr, Google Trends, Meta Business Suite, and native insights across platforms
  • Demonstrated analytical skills 
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience presenting to clients 
  • Experience overseeing projects from inception to completion
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
