Are you a native-level Norwegian speaker with a passion for language and a sharp eye for detail? Do you want to get hands-on experience in the fast-growing world of Artificial Intelligence, Localization and Large Language Models?
We are launching a massive, high-volume project to refine and perfect localized product descriptions for a global e-commerce giant. We need a dynamic team of sharp linguists, language students, and creative wordsmiths to ensure our digital catalog reads fluently, naturally, and speaks directly to Norwegian consumers with flawless cultural accuracy.
If you want a flexible freelance role that fits perfectly around your studies or existing schedule while building a future-proof portfolio, this is the opportunity for you.
Position Overview

  • Language(s): English and Norwegian
  • Experience: Entry-level / Junior / Language Students
  • Location: 100% Remote - work from anywhere
  • Employment Type: Freelance / Independent contractor

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate e-commerce product descriptions for accuracy, tone, and readability.
  • Ensure the content doesn't just sound translated, but resonates naturally with Norwegian consumers.
  • Identify and correct grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, and unnatural text to ensure a polished final product.
  • Evaluate and grade localized content against specific style guides to maintain high standards of accuracy and readability.

Requirements
This is a junior-friendly role, making it the perfect stepping stone for students or aspiring localization professionals. We are looking for:
  • Native-level fluency in Norwegian (written and spoken) with an exceptional grasp of grammar, slang, and cultural nuances.
  • Strong proficiency in English (source guidelines and project communication will be in English).
  • Current students in Linguistics, Translation, Nordic Studies, Communications, or related fields are highly encouraged to apply!
  • Previous experience in translation, editing, or linguistic work is a plus.
  • A tech-savvy mindset and the ability to learn new annotation platforms quickly.
  • Reliable internet connection and a laptop/computer.

Benefits
  • Flexible Remote Work: Work from anywhere, managing your own hours around project deadlines.
  • Long-Term Collaboration Opportunities: We aim to build lasting partnerships with our freelance linguists; successful candidates will become part of our preferred talent pool for ongoing, periodic project assignments.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech: Gain experience working with advanced localization workflows, AI-driven translation tools, and global brand content.
  • Elite Projects: Build your portfolio by working on software utilized by millions of global users daily.
