They may offer one-on-one sessions, group coaching, or online programs, depending on their niche and expertise. Their goal is to help clients achieve personal or professional growth through structured coaching techniques.

To thrive as a Freelance Coach, you need expertise in your coaching niche, such as career, executive, or life coaching, supported by relevant training or credentials. Familiarity with online coaching platforms, scheduling tools, and certification programs from organizations like ICF can enhance credibility and efficiency. Exceptional listening, motivational, and interpersonal skills help build trust and foster client growth. These skills are vital for attracting clients, delivering impactful sessions, and sustaining a successful freelance coaching business.

Job description

Leland is building the home for ambition in the age of AI. We connect people with the experts, programs, and communities they need to land the job, get into the school, or upskill for a world being rewritten by AI. We help businesses become AI-native through training, hiring, and infrastructure. Since our founding in 2021, we've helped tens of thousands of people reach their most ambitious goals and raised $19M from world-class investors. Ambition is sacred to us, and we've built a product that takes that seriously.
We're seeking an experienced acting professional to coach actors at all stages of their careers, from those preparing for auditions to those building a sustainable freelance career in the industry. This role includes helping students develop core acting techniques, character development, and script analysis skills, as well as guiding practice through scene study, cold reading, monologue coaching, and improv training. Coaches also support performance skills like stage presence, voice training, and on-camera training, and help students prepare strong show reels for casting opportunities. Additional support may include audition preparation, interview prep, resume and LinkedIn review, networking strategy, and guidance on agent negotiation and salary negotiation as students navigate freelancing in the industry. Ideal candidates have significant professional acting experience (stage, film, TV, or a combination), prior coaching or teaching experience, and a clear, structured approach to helping performers grow their craft and their career. Coaches set their own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and partner with our team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student.
Why Leland?
  • The chance to join a world-class team helping people achieve their career and educational dreams
  • Work in a collaborative, high-energy environment where your contributions have a direct impact
  • Operate in a fast-paced, AI-native environment
  • We don't hire people who merely want to work for a great company; we hire people who want to make a great company

Leland is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage candidates of all backgrounds and demographics to apply.
