JOB SUMMARY:
As a Product Cybersecurity Engineer in the commercial/passenger vehicle business unit of Stoneridge Electronics, you will ensure cybersecurity development and engineering processes along with implementation of cybersecurity attributes in system architecture, software, hardware, etc. Additionally, coordinate with the engineering groups of various customer projects and broad range of competencies according to relevant standards and technical development of the Stoneridge Electronics product portfolio
A central product in this business unit is MirrorEye®, the innovative camera-based replacement for the traditional rearview mirrors on trucks. The system includes new intelligent functions in vehicle applications, e.g., object detection. You are part of the development and security features designed into these innovations in automotive industry.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performing Product Cyber functions such as risk analyses, requirements reviews, and incident response (IR) management.
  • Liaising with development teams to ensure that security controls are implemented in accordance with the security risks and applicable standards.
  • Identification of risks that need to be escalated through the governance framework for higher-level management.
  • Collaborate with agile teams focusing on rapidly deploying new services to the customer.
  • Contribute to the wider vehicle cybersecurity group ensuring the resilience and compliance of products.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in product cybersecurity practices
  • Exposure to Industry Standard requirements and recent development of regulatory compliances and integration of stakeholders' requirements
  • A Minimum of 2 years in safety or security management and process
  • 2+ years of experience with automotive product development life cycle (V-model and ASPICE)
  • Exposure to penetration test development, preferred
  • Strong experience in security risk, compliance, policies, and standards, preferred.
  • Experience in working with a team and playing a pivotal role in continuing to facilitate and deploy product cybersecurity within an automotive environment
  • Experience in hardware security, software security, HSM (Hardware Security Module), SHE (Secure Hardware Extension), secure boot, secure software update.
  • Good experience in cybersecurity process, implementation of ISO / SAE 21434, UNECE R155 / R156, and crypto algorithms such as RSA, AES, SHA, CMAC, , etc.
  • Completion of Cybersecurity training and/or professional certifications/designations (ISO 21434, CISSP ) highly desired.
