Duration: 12 months
Shift: 06:00 AM – 03:30 PM

Job Description:
Responsible for system/software safety across the full development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with civil and defense safety standards. Involves hazard identification, structured safety analyses, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve complex system issues.

Skills Required:

  • Experience with software safety standards (DO-178C, MIL-STD-822, AMCOM385-17, Joint Software Safety Engineering Handbook)
  • Familiarity with SAE ARP-4761, ARP-4754, and MIL-STD-882 processes
  • Direct experience in SAE ARP4761 analyses: AFHA/SFHA, PASA/PSSA/ASA/SSA, PRA, ZSA, CMA
  • Direct experience in MIL-STD-882 analyses: PHA, O&SHA, HHA, SHA/SSHA, Hazardous Materials, FMECA, SAR
  • MBSE/MBSA experience or training preferred
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Technical/functional understanding of aircraft systems

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years on aircraft/system development or sustainment programs with structured safety processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (related military/aviator/mechanic qualifications considered)
  • Advanced degrees count as additional experience
  • Eligible for Secret Security Clearance
