Job description

CLEAN USA WATER MOLD & FIRE

We're not looking for someone who "likes people." We're looking for someone who walks into a room and owns it. If you've been selling in the trades, construction, insurance, or restoration world and you're ready to build something that actually pays you like an owner, keep reading.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Clean USA Water Mold & Fire has been serving the Chicagoland area since 1988. We're independently owned, EOS-operated, and growing fast. Over 70% of our business comes from referrals, and the person in this seat is the engine behind that number.

This is a field-based B2B relationship role. You'll build and own a territory of plumbing company owners, plumbing technicians, insurance agents, and wholesalers. When a homeowner has a flood at 2am and the plumber shows up, we want your name to be the first one out of their mouth.

The last person who truly cracked this role in our market built a multi-million dollar referral book. That territory is available. This is your shot at it.

Phantom Equity

Available for the right candidate through Reins

The phantom equity piece is real and it matters. We're independently owned. That means when you help build this company, you can actually share in what it's worth. No franchise. No corporate ceiling. An ownership path that a franchise or a national chain simply cannot offer you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Run a daily route visiting plumbing company owners, techs, and wholesalers across your territory
  • Build the kind of relationships where a plumber calls you before they even finish diagnosing the job
  • Host breakfasts, shop visits, and partner appreciation events that keep Clean USA top of mind
  • Prospect and develop new plumbing and insurance agent relationships beyond the existing book
  • Log every visit same day in our CRM with clear next steps
  • Hit 40 route stops per week and own your activity numbers
  • Work closely with our operations team to make sure every referral partner knows their customers are taken care of

WHO YOU ARE

You don't need a restoration background. You need the right personality and the right work ethic. Here's what that looks like:

  • You're trades-comfortable. You can walk into a plumbing shop and talk trucks, tools, and fishing without faking it.
  • You're a self-starter who doesn't need a manager to tell you to go make your calls.
  • You're persistent without being pushy. You understand that referral relationships are built over months, not days.
  • You hold your ground. When a plumbing owner says he already has a guy, you don't fold, you find another angle.
  • You show up. Every day. Rain or shine. Because this role rewards consistency above everything else.
  • You have a valid driver's license and a clean background.

BACKGROUNDS THAT TRANSLATE WELL

We're open to candidates from outside restoration if the fundamentals are right. These backgrounds tend to fit:

  • Restoration or construction B2B sales or business development
  • Medical device or pharmaceutical outside sales
  • Uniform, facility, or service industry route sales
  • Insurance producer or agency sales
  • Any outside sales role where you built relationships from scratch in a defined territory

ABOUT CLEAN USA

Founded in 1988. Independently owned and operated out of Sycamore, IL. 14,000 sq ft production facility with service locations across Chicagoland. EOS-operated with a leadership team that invests in the people who produce. We're not a franchise. We're not a call center. We're a real company built on real relationships, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

The honest part: this role is a grind. You're in your car every day, visiting shops, getting told no sometimes, building relationships that take months to produce. If you want a desk job, this isn't it. If you want to build a book of business that pays you like an owner and get equity in a company you helped grow, this is exactly it.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply here. We run a structured hiring process including a behavioral assessment. We move fast with the right candidates.
