Fractional Partner Manager information

What is a fractional partner manager?

A Fractional Partner Manager is a professional who manages business partnerships or alliances for a company on a part-time or contract basis, rather than as a full-time employee. This role is typically hired by organizations that need expert partnership management but may not have the workload or budget for a permanent position. Fractional Partner Managers help identify, negotiate, and nurture relationships with strategic partners, driving business growth and collaboration. Their flexible arrangement allows companies to benefit from their expertise without long-term commitments.

How does a fractional partner manager typically collaborate with client teams and external partners?

A Fractional Partner Manager often works closely with both internal client teams—such as sales, marketing, and product departments—and external partners to drive strategic initiatives and business growth. They usually serve as a bridge, facilitating communication, aligning partnership objectives, and ensuring deliverables are met on both sides. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, adaptability to various industries, and the ability to quickly understand different business models. Regular check-ins, status updates, and collaborative problem-solving are common parts of the weekly routine.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a fractional partner manager, and why are they important?

A Fractional Partner Manager needs expertise in partnership management, business development, and a strong understanding of the company's industry, often backed by experience in sales or channel management. Familiarity with CRM platforms, partner relationship management (PRM) tools, and contract negotiation software is commonly required. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills help them foster trust and drive mutual growth with diverse partners. These abilities ensure effective collaboration, successful partnership outcomes, and scalable business expansion.

Director of Investigations (Fractional)

Indianapolis, IN • On-site

Lauth Investigations International Inc
Investigation and Physical Security Services • 1 - 10 employees

Full-time, Contractor

Posted 14 days ago

Job description

During the Trial Period, the incumbent shall serve in a fractional capacity, with the scope of work, time commitment, and deliverables to be mutually agreed upon by the parties. Upon conclusion of the 90-day Trial Period, the Company will conduct a formal review of performance, organizational needs, and business priorities to determine whether the position will be converted to a full-time employment arrangement. Any conversion to full-time status is subject to the mutual agreement of the parties and the execution of appropriate employment documentation at that time.

Lauth Investigations International is a premier, Indianapolis-based investigative agency. We leverage deep experience and emotional intelligence to serve as a trusted partner to individuals and corporations worldwide. We are looking for a high-profile executive leader to join our Circle City headquarters and lead our Investigations Division into its next chapter of growth.

Why Indianapolis?

This isn’t just a remote role — it’s a leadership seat at the heart of our operations. While our reach is global, our roots are firmly planted in the Indianapolis community. We are looking for a leader who wants to be a fixture in the local business landscape and enjoy the high quality of life — and low cost of living — that Central Indiana offers.

The Role: Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence

As the Director of Investigations, you will be the primary investigative and operational touchstone for our firm. You will lead a team of PIs, manage day-to-day functions, and spearhead criminal, civil, and proprietary investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Lead investigative teams, conduct case intakes, and oversee 1099 investigators.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage division budgets, track case profitability, and drive growth margins.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Lauth at professional conferences and networking events throughout Indiana and beyond.
  • Market Growth: Oversee marketing campaigns and leverage CRM/AI tools to expand our client base.

Who You Are

  • An Indy-Ready Leader: You are either a current resident or willing to relocate to the Indianapolis area to lead from the front.
  • Strategic Change Agent: You stay ahead of innovative investigative trends and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Adept Communicator: You possess the finesse to navigate sensitive situations and the charisma to build lasting partnerships.

Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree (US-accredited) required; MBA is a plus.
    • Experience: 5+ years of former law enforcement (commander level preferred) or significant corporate leadership experience.
    • 5+ years of investigations and surveillance experience.
    • Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage budgets, labor KPIs, and operating margins.
    • Flexibility: Valid driver’s license and the ability to be on-call 24/7 with extensive travel as required.
    • Preferred Background: Prior experience as a former FBI Agent is strongly preferred for this role, as it reflects a proven foundation in conducting thorough, defensible investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence, and navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks. Candidates with this background typically bring advanced skills in interviewing techniques, case management, and cross-agency collaboration, along with a deep understanding of due process, chain-of-custody requirements, and investigative best practices. This experience also signals a high degree of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment — qualities essential to handling sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality. Additionally, former Agents often bring an established network of law enforcement and industry contacts, which can prove valuable in escalated or cross-jurisdictional investigations.
