OVERVIEW

As a Controller, you will serve clients in fractional, interim, and project-based roles, providing leadership in day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. The Controller is a full-time role, eligible for benefits.

You'll work closely with client leadership to:

  • Improve financial systems and reporting
  • Oversee monthly close processes and internal controls
  • Mentor accounting staff members
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making with accurate financial data
  • Manage projects, forecasting, and analysis to support business growth and transitions.
  • Prepare for audits and assist with external reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting and/or Finance education and credentials, along with a mixture of public accounting experience as well as industry experience. Experience with nonprofit organizations or small/mid-sized businesses is a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically, balancing big-picture vision with operational detail
  • A track record of adaptability and problem-solving across different industries or company sizes
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with multiple accounting systems
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
