What You Will Do:

  • Develop conceptual and detailed design of marine equipment, piping systems, and mechanical packages (static/rotating equipment, HVAC, deck machinery, cranes).
  • Apply industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NFPA) to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Analyze and improve performance of pumps, generators, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Create, review, and finalize technical drawings, specifications, and budgets for new installations.
  • Evaluate offshore structure integrity, environmental load responses, and hydrodynamic conditions.
  • Investigate equipment failures and recommend remedial actions. 

Work Experience

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design within the marine/offshore oil & gas sector (FPSO, drillships, or jackups).
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 3D modeling software, along with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
  • Codes & Standards: Thorough knowledge of ASME, API, and ABS standards.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred) or capability to acquire. 

Key Competencies

  • Subsea systems design and maintenance.
  • Marine structural engineering and hydrodynamics.
  • Project, material, and piping design for marine units. 

Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Duncan, OK

You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.  

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 20% of travel is required.
