Most FPSO Offshore positions follow a rotational work schedule—commonly two to four weeks working continuously onboard the vessel, followed by an equivalent period off. During onsite shifts, employees work long hours in a structured team environment, often living aboard the FPSO due to its remote location. What are the key skills and qualifications needed for an FPSO offshore?

To thrive in an FPSO Offshore role, candidates typically need solid knowledge of marine and oil & gas operations, technical mechanical skills, and relevant offshore certifications such as BOSIET or HUET. Familiarity with control systems, safety protocols, and maintenance tools specific to Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units is essential. Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills are vital for working in challenging, multicultural environments often on a rotational basis. These skills ensure safety, operational efficiency, and effective collaboration in demanding offshore settings.
