As of Jun 13, 2026, the average hourly pay for fpso offshore in the United States is $25.39, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $18.27 and $27.88 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What does a typical work schedule look like for an FPSO Offshore position?

Most FPSO Offshore positions follow a rotational work schedule—commonly two to four weeks working continuously onboard the vessel, followed by an equivalent period off. During onsite shifts, employees work long hours in a structured team environment, often living aboard the FPSO due to its remote location. This schedule allows for periods of intense focus on operations and maintenance, followed by extended rest at home. Being adaptable to this rotation and living in close quarters with colleagues is important for success in the role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Fpso Offshore position, and why are they important?

To thrive in an FPSO Offshore role, candidates typically need solid knowledge of marine and oil & gas operations, technical mechanical skills, and relevant offshore certifications such as BOSIET or HUET. Familiarity with control systems, safety protocols, and maintenance tools specific to Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units is essential. Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills are vital for working in challenging, multicultural environments often on a rotational basis. These skills ensure safety, operational efficiency, and effective collaboration in demanding offshore settings.

What is an FPSO Offshore job?

An FPSO Offshore job involves working on a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, which is used in offshore oil and gas production. Roles on an FPSO can vary, including positions in engineering, operations, maintenance, and safety. Workers oversee crude oil processing, storage, and offloading while ensuring equipment runs efficiently and safely. These jobs often require specialized training, offshore certifications, and experience in the oil and gas industry.

    • Fabrication and as-built drawings
  • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, company standards, and applicable codes and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with mooring engineers, structural teams, installation engineers, and project managers to ensure design intent is accurately captured.
  • Support design reviews, hazard reviews, and constructability assessments from a drafting perspective.
  • Manage drawing revisions, document control, and version tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

Leadership & Team Management
