There is no challenge we can't turn into an opportunity. Primary Responsibilities The Senior TEMPEST Lead provides advanced technical leadership for the NGA TEMPEST program. This role conducts TEMPEST Countermeasures Reviews, Visual TEMPEST Inspections (VTI), technical inspections, assessments, evaluations, and reviews. The Senior TEMPEST Lead ensures compliance with National policy, DoD directives, and NGA Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) requirements. Responsibilities include: * Assist the NGA CTTA with execution of the TEMPEST program, analyzing requirements, implementing countermeasures, and interpreting policy. * Provide technical advice and collect necessary system and facility information (e.g., schematics, shielding, power systems, HVAC, equipment specifications) to facilitate mission execution. * Support customers with TEMPEST workflow requests, checklists, Protective Distribution System (PDS) requests, and Countermeasure Reviews. * Conduct VTIs and TEMPEST testing of NGA facilities, SCIFs, and systems in coordination with the CTTA. * Represent the NGA CTTA in meetings regarding facilities and equipment that process classified information. * Oversee completion of all TEMPEST reports, checklists, and evaluations within required timelines (approx. 75 annual technical evaluations). * Maintain TEMPEST test equipment, coordinate repairs/calibrations, and ensure accuracy of automated workflow processes. * Provide recommendations and guidance to NGA security elements on wireless efforts, countermeasures, and best practices. * Evaluate TEMPEST requirements and recommend mitigations consistent with national standards. * Maintain records of technical reviews, inspections, waivers, and checklists within the TEMPEST Automated Workflow Process. * Conduct site inspections, assistance visits, and advise training development for TSSC Technicians. Required Qualifications * At least 10 years of experience in TEMPEST, physical/technical security, or facility inspection, with 3+ years focused on facility accreditation, shielding, grounding, or PDS. * National TEMPEST School certifications including TEMPEST Fundamentals, TEMPEST for System Installation and Facility Design, Test Equipment Familiarization, and Field Testing Basics. Desired Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline. * Graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (e.g., FBI Academy). * Advanced TEMPEST training.
