Job description

Job Position: Warehouse Lead with Coffee Experience

Company: Pro Coffee Gear

Location: Austin, Texas, USA

Type: Full-time

About Us: Pro Coffee Gear is a fast-growing ecommerce and wholesale distributor of commercial and home espresso equipment. We serve cafés, roasters, restaurants, and serious home baristas with new and refurbished espresso machines, grinders, and accessories from the most respected brands in coffee. We’re building a disciplined, data-driven growth engine — and paid media is a critical part of that foundation.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Warehouse Specialist (Technical Focus) with a background in engineering, electrical systems, or automotive repair to join our growing technical operations team.

This role goes beyond standard warehouse work—you’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with operational responsibilities to ensure our equipment is fully functional, high-quality, and ready for customers. You’ll take ownership of complex repairs and refurbishments, support team development, and help build scalable processes as we grow.

This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys solving technical challenges, working independently, and expanding into the specialty coffee industry.

What You’ll DoEquipment Repair & Technical Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose, service, and refurbish a variety of coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fluid system issues across multiple brands and models.
  • Perform final testing to ensure all equipment meets performance and quality standards before shipment.
Technical Project Ownership
  • Manage repair and refurbishment projects from initial assessment through completion.
  • Prioritize tasks and handle multiple technical jobs simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Support both pre-sale and post-sale technical inquiries when needed.
Process Development & Quality Improvement
  • Create and maintain documentation for repair procedures, workflows, and quality benchmarks.
  • Analyze recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Team Support & Knowledge Sharing
  • Train and support technicians and warehouse staff on tools, processes, and technical best practices.
  • Act as a go-to resource for complex technical questions within the team.
Operations & Inventory Coordination
  • Manage spare parts inventory, sourcing, and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to provide technical insights and support.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in equipment repair or a related field (e.g., automotive, HVAC, industrial equipment, or appliances).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment (50+ lbs).
  • Interest in coffee equipment or willingness to develop expertise in the field.

Benefits

  • Paid time off.
  • Professional development support and technical training.
  • Career advancement opportunities within a fast-growing company.
  • Autonomy in a goal-oriented and performance-driven culture.
  • Opportunity to work with innovative equipment and evolving technologies.
