Job description

The Rock Cafe at Del Webb Rockin' K is excited to announce the opening of our new full-service cafe, a warm and vibrant space that brings together exceptional food, handcrafted beverages, and genuine hospitality. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cafe Manager to lead the charge and help make this new venture a local favorite.

We are hiring a Cafe Manager! If you are a hands-on leader with both front of house and back of house expertise, a knack for creating memorable guest experiences, and the drive to build a top performing team from the ground up, we want to hear from you.

About the Role
As the Cafe Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations of the cafe including staffing, training, ordering, inventory, and guest relations. You will play a key role in launching and shaping our culture, ensuring that every plate, pour, and interaction reflects our commitment to quality and hospitality.
 
Your background in bartending, food service, and team leadership will help you guide both the kitchen and service staff with confidence and enthusiasm.
 
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all cafe operations including FOH and BOH management
  • Hire, train, and motivate a high performing team
  • Maintain exceptional food, beverage, and service standards
  • Create a welcoming, positive, and energetic environment for guests and staff
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism and care
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
  • Monitor and control operating costs including labor and food expenses
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions
  • Schedule and manage staff shifts and payroll
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports including P&L management
  • Support ownership in achieving sales and profitability goals
  • Oversee cafe promotions and assist with community engagement efforts
  • Lead by example with a hands-on approach across all areas of operation
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Full-Service Cafe or Restaurant Manager or equivalent role
  • Proven experience managing both FOH and BOH operations
  • Strong bartending knowledge and passion for craft beverages
  • Certified Food Manager and Alcoholic Beverage Manager (required)
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of multitasking
  • Financial management experience including P&L oversight
  • Skilled in inventory management and cost control
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work weekends as needed
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence
  • Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
