Key Responsibilities
  • Administer skilled therapy services in accordance with the treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, adhering to clinical guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Assist in executing individualized treatment plans, with a focus on improving patients’ overall mobility, strength, and quality of life. This may include setting up and monitoring therapeutic exercises, providing manual therapy, and utilizing various modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
  • Document patient progress accurately and timely in our electronic health record system, adapting therapeutic interventions based on patient feedback and clinical observations.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with Physical Therapists and other healthcare personnel to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, self-care techniques, and injury prevention strategies to promote independence and recovery.
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, encouraging their active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Fortis Motion, you will work with a varied patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain issues. You will have the chance to assist a diverse caseload, allowing you to utilize and expand your clinical skills across different therapeutic needs, thereby enhancing your professional experience.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Possession of a current PTA license in California or the willingness to obtain it prior to commencing employment.

  • A collaborative mindset that values teamwork, along with the ability to work independently as needed.
  • Experience with CPR certification or the commitment to obtain it before your start date.
Preferred Experience
