Job description

This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located in the Family Medicine Clinic at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

Physician (Family Practice)

Salary: $145,000 to - $335,000 per year

This is a full-time Physician Family Practice position at Fort Gordon, Augusta Georgia that affords job security, a competitive salary, bonuses, moving expenses, full malpractice coverage, up to 26 days paid vacation, 11 days paid Federal Holidays, a sick leave benefit, 401K, CME opportunities, an active GME program in primary care and surgical specialties and a first-class health and retirement benefit package.

As a Physician (Family Practice), you will:

  • Perform emergency services or crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary
  • Independently diagnose illnesses, prescribe treatments, and formulate evidence-based care plans.
  • Provide advice by telephone and/or in person to medical staff on the care of patients.
  • Promote preventive care, health maintenance, and patient education to encourage lifestyle changes.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance, peer review, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and/ or boards.

US Citizenship required.

Board Certified in Family Medicine

Candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
