I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) requires the services of two (2) Business Analyst 2 candidates, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meet the general qualifications of Business Analyst 2 in Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document.

All work products resulting from this project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of DFPS. Potential Vendors (and their Workers) may be required to submit to and satisfy pre-selection requirements, including criminal background checks and fingerprint completion as required by Texas law and DFPS policy. DFPS will not pay fees for interviews, discussions, or fingerprinting during the Worker selection process.

The Worker will collaborate with ITS Leadership and the Agency Accessibility Coordinator to design and implement accessibility initiatives and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and agency procedures, policies, rules, and laws, including DOJ ADA Title II. The Worker will analyze web content and EIR for accessibility, recommend changes, and remediate accessibility issues. The Worker will also participate in testing efforts related to accessibility projects, provide results to agency stakeholders, and assist in developing roadmaps, plans, and designs for accessibility activities.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with content owners to remediate EIR and ensure compliance.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and communicating accessibility updates and remediation progress.
  • Performing preliminary accessibility assessments and coordinating testing validation reports.
