3 POSITION SUMMARY :
Delivers or assists in the deliverance, and documents, the regular maintenance care to the residents on their assigned nursing units.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Establishment of a working relationship with the Charge Nurse and Unit Manager.
  • Maintenance of the personal hygiene of the residents.
  • Maintenance of a healthful nutritional status of residents.
  • Maintenance of the integrity of the skin of the residents.
  • Mobilization of the residents.
  • Assistance to residents with bowel and bladder functions.
  • Maintenance of a clean and orderly environment for the residents.
  • Execution of specific skilled tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
  • Maintenance of a safe environment for the residents.
  • Response to residents' needs for socialization.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified through the Department of Health / Nurse Aide Registry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• One year long term care experience preferred.

• Personality characteristics compatible with elderly and/or disabled residents and other nursing personnel.
