- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or one of the physical sciences - Biology, Chemistry
- Minimum of six (6) years of laboratory testing experience in a clinical laboratory
- Current NYS License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as Blood Bank Technologist, Specialist in Blood Banking, Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)- Preferred
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information System - Preferred
- Must possess verbal and spatial ability, form perception, finger and manual dexterity and clerical ability.
- Near visual acuity required for reading results from reports and viewing computer screens
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
