Job description

Forging Press Operator
Walor North America is looking for a Forging Press Operator to join its Forging team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the quality of product and press efficiency.

What you will do
  • Operation of machine and secondary equipment, including feeding material manually
  • Material handling with a forklift
  • Support department personnel and tasks
  • Measuring/Documenting of product produced to ensure quality standards
  • Performing required operator level maintenance tasks
  • Assisting maintenance during major breakdowns
  • Sorting non-conforming product (as required)
  • Cleaning equipment and surrounding areas
  • Special projects as determined by area manager/supervisor/team lead
  • Adherence to 5S principles
  • Reporting/Documenting equipment related maintenance issues to supervisor/maintenance department
  • Supply maintenance request documentation for breakdowns
  • Completing required department documentation
  • Fulfilling thoroughly all tasks within the scope of defined qualifications and responsibilities
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Adherence to all written and verbal directives of the manager/supervisor/team lead
  • Adherence to Stop, Call, Wait protocol
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Work Environment
Location-The Press Operator role is based on site at our Columbus facility
Physical Demand-May be required to lift moderately heavy automotive components up to 15 pounds
Schedule - 1st Shift Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM, 2nd Shift Monday thru Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM, 3rd Shift Sunday thru Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:15 AM, 12-hour shifts 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, some overtime or weekends may be necessary
