To excel in a Forensic Lab Internship, a solid grounding in biology, chemistry, or forensic science, usually supported by college coursework or laboratory experience, is essential. Familiarity with laboratory equipment, evidence handling protocols, and basic data analysis software is typically required. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong written and verbal communication skills are highly valued in this role. These competencies ensure the accurate processing and analysis of evidence, collaboration with team members, and adherence to strict legal and scientific standards.

What kind of tasks or projects can I expect to work on during a Forensic Lab Internship?

As a Forensic Lab Intern, you can expect to assist with a variety of tasks such as preparing and analyzing evidence samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, documenting findings, and observing experienced forensic scientists during their casework.
